Last month, RevitGods joined AEC professionals from around the country in Downtown Brooklyn at the Marriot at the Brooklyn Bridge for this year’s National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) Conference & Expo. It was an exciting five days full of networking, learning, design competitions and awards.
On the conference’s third day, RevitGods Founder Uchenna Okere led a seminar called Managing a Project in Revit for Principals & Project Managers: Understanding the BIM Landscape.
After getting a feel for everyone’s level of experience with Revit and BIM with live polling questions, the key concepts for team leaders to effectively run a Revit project were discussed, including:
How to respond to an RFP with Revit as a requirement.
Putting together a BIM execution plan.
How to assemble and manage a Revit project team,
The 6 levels of management in a Revit project.
How to budget time on projects and work with consultants.
Afterward, a vibrant Q&A furthered dialogue on topics such as determining LOD for a project, moving collaboration to cloud-based tools, and upcoming BIM innovations and news.
BIM and Revit education is always a top priority here at RevitGods. If you think this presentation may be beneficial for you, your team, or a community of AEC practitioners, send us a note. We’d love to help!
